Hi Everyone,

In the second instalment of the pros and cons series, I chose to talk about Foundation. Remember to put your suggestions in the comments below for future pros and cons posts! I, like most people, wear foundation pretty much on a daily basis, but I wanted to see if the bad outweighed the good and if I should switch to a healthier makeup routine. Disclaimer: I am basing the pros and cons on normal drugstore foundation, not all natural foundations such as BareMinerals. This post was inspired by http://www.lifestyle.howstuffworks.com.

Pros:

  • If the foundation contains some moisturising qualities, it will help to hydrate your skin. Who doesn’t like hydration?
  • If your skin tone is unique, you better off finding an almost exact match in liquid foundation than a powder foundation.
  • Liquid Foundation is way easier to blend into the skin for beginners. Trust me, starting off with your first ever foundation being a powder only calls for disaster.
  • Liquid foundation is excellent at producing that glowy, luminous, dewy finish.
  • It’s also quite good at concealing fine lines and pores, which is what foundation is for really.

Cons:

  • Liquid foundation doesn’t really look that good on oily skin, you might want to try a powder.
  • Wearing the wrong foundation for your skin type can make you look cakey and all around bad.
  • After wearing liquid foundation for hours, facial oil can emphasise lines instead of concealing them.
  • Foundation clogs up your pores like there is no tomorrow!
  • If you don’t have moisturiser in your foundation it can leave your skin really dry.

The pros and cons balance out. What is your verdict? Write it in the comments below and also give me some more pros and cons suggestions.

Have a Lovely Day

Building a new foundation is a critical step in ensuring the stability and longevity of a structure. From residential homes to commercial buildings, a strong foundation is essential to provide support and safety for the entire structure. Despite its importance, building a new foundation can also be a challenging and complex process, with numerous advantages and disadvantages to consider.

In this article, we will explore the advantages and disadvantages of building a new foundation. From increased property value to improved safety, we will discuss the benefits of a new foundation. On the other hand, we will also consider the disadvantages, such as the cost, disruption to daily life, and the complexity of the process. With this information, you will be able to make an informed decision about whether building a new foundation is right for you and your building. Whether you are a homeowner or a building owner, this article will provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about the foundation of your structure.

Advantages Of Building A New Foundation:

1. An improved level of structural support – A new foundation will provide your home with a much higher degree of structural support than an existing one. This can help to reduce the risk of cracking and other damage caused by shifting or settling soil over time.

2. Increased longevity – Building a new foundation can increase the life expectancy of your home significantly, helping it to last longer and potentially avoiding expensive repair costs in the future.

3. Protection from moisture – Most foundations are built with a waterproofing membrane that helps protect against water seeping into your basement or crawl space, reducing the chance of mold growth and other damage caused by excess moisture.

4. Improved energy efficiency – A new foundation can also help to make your home more energy efficient by providing better insulation, reducing the amount of energy needed to heat and cool it.

Disadvantages Of Building A New Foundation:

1. Cost – Building a new foundation can be an expensive process, especially when you factor in labor costs, materials, and permits. Make sure you research the cost of building a foundation in your area before you make any decisions.

2. Time – The process of building a new foundation can take several weeks or even months, depending on the size and complexity of your job. This could mean having to stay at a different location while the work is being done, which could incur additional costs.

3. Disruption – Building a new foundation means that your home will be disrupted for several weeks or months as the work is being done. This could include noise, dust, and other forms of disruption to your daily routine.

Overall, building a new foundation can be a great way to improve the structural integrity and energy efficiency of your home. However, it is important to weigh the pros and cons before making a decision. Make sure you do your research and speak with professionals in order to determine if a new foundation is right for your home. By taking into account these factors, you can ensure that you make an informed decision when deciding whether or not to build a new foundation for your home.
